Fernando is Partner of the Tax Practice and also has a highly significant role in the International Trade & Customs Practice of Von Wobeser y Sierra with more than 33 years of expertise. He has guaranteed hundreds of clients' commercial success via strategic and preventive legal advice particularly in the area of tax but more particularly in regards to double taxation treaties to avoid double taxation. He has extensive expertise in international trade & customs as well as in arbitration. Fernando has advised and developed strategies for multinational and Mexican companies in order to help them reach their aggressive business goals while complying with international taxation, Mexican legal tax obligations and corporate governance matters. His expertise in tax consulting includes: developing and implementing preventive tax strategies and structures in order to minimize unnecessary taxes and applying international treaties to avoid double taxation thus helping companies in their tax responsibilities. His work experience in tax litigation includes amparos, tax, audits and administrative procedures with Mexican authorities on a local and federal level among others.

Advised Anheuser Busch in regards to the acquisition of Grupo Modelo. USD $20.1 billion.

Advised on the division of Motorola Solutions and Motorola Mobility. Motorola Mobility was sold to Google. USD $12.5 billion.

Advised BMW in various tax related matters regarding the negotiation and investment in San Luis Potosi. USD +$1 billion.

Advised Anheuser Busch InBev and Grupo Modelo in the tax strategy after the acquisition of Grupo Modelo. USD billions.

Advised Palladium Equity Partners on its acquisition of Q´Max Solutions, Inc. USD $500 million.

Advised Anheuser Busch InBev in regards to tax advice regarding the acquisition of Constellation Brands (Glass facility of Grupo Modelo). USD $450 million.

Advised on the acquisition of entities and tax consequences of Enerflex as part of a worldwide transaction. USD +$450 million.
